In todays busy world, all people are confronted with dining out. Between business lunches and dining out for recreation, you may find yourself at a restuarant several times a week. Just because youare eating out, doesn't mean you have to sabotage your diet plan.

Here are some things that you can do to make the right eating decisions the next time you are out, for business or pleasure.

* If you plan on drinking alcohol, avoid creamy drinks like White Russians, since they contain calorie laden ingredients like heavy cream. If you are planning on having more than one drink, alternate with a glass
of water.

* Ask your server to serve bread with your entree. This will help avoid seconds of bread.

* Keep in mind that appetizers are packed with calories. Starting a meal with deep fried mozzarella sticks, potato skins or boneless buffalo wings will quickly add several hundred extra calories to your meal. If you must have something before your entree is served, consider a side salad or cottage cheese (if available).

* Ask your server to put half of your entree in a "to-go" box prior to serving it. Restauarant portions have a tendancy towards being huge, so you have an easy lunch for the following day.

* Split your entree with your partner. If you have likeminded tastes you can split the cost of dinner and still walk away full. Some places may charge
a small fee for splitting entrees (usually anywhere from 2-6 dollars)while others do it for free.

* Ask for toppings and condiments served on the side or plain. If you are ordering a baked potato, avoid the "loaded" version, since things like cheese, bacon, sour cream and butter will add a few hundred calories to your meal.

* Avoid menu items that are described as creamy, rich or deep fried. Choose steamed, broiled or baked items instead. These methods of cooking tend to add fewer calories.

* Eat slowly. Make an effort to chew each mouthful of food 15-20 times before swallowing. This is a good rule to follow when eating out or dining at home.

* Drink a glass of water prior to your meal. This will help to fill you up and you'll be less likely to overeat.

Making the right choices when dining out will help all of your weight loss efforts. There are so many different places to eat out at, you will never run out of dining options. It's up to you to make the right call. You can do it!

If you are searching for your next new dining table. It certainly is useful to understand proper dining etiquette. (...)

If you are searching for your next new dining table. It certainly is useful to understand proper dining etiquette.

Silverware Organization

To correctly arrange silverware on your dining table, recall that diners work from the outside in. Forks will go on the left side, and the salad fork will sit outside of the dinner fork. Knives and spoons are on the right side of the setting, with the knife on the inside and spoons on the outside. Save dessert utensils until desserts arrive. Glasses should be placed above the plate and to the right. Remember to never put more utensils on the table than what is necessary.

Silverware in Use

First and foremost, remember to never let your used silverware be in direct contact with the dining table. When not using your silverware, just place it on another plate or bowl.

Two different styles exist. The North American style involves using your right hand to cut food with the knife while stabilizing it with the left hand, and then setting the knife on your plate to exchange the fork to your right hand to eat the cut food. Do not cut more than two pieces of food to eat at a time.

The European style is not as formal and involves keeping the fork in your left hand at all times. While puncturing food with the fork, the tines are facing downward.

The spoon when used for soup, should be kept away from you and filled only about two-thirds full. The soup bowl may be tilted away from you to reach the last bit of soup. Do not slurp the soup from your spoon.

Napkins in Use

As the host sits and places the napkin on their lap, so do the guests since it is a cue to follow suit. A large dinner napkin should be folded once and located on your lap, with the fold should be closer to your body. A smaller lunch napkin can be placed on your lap without folding.

If you need to leave the meal for a bit, just place the napkin on your chair until you return. When you are through with the meal, gently fold the napkin and place it on the left side of your plate.

Eating Manners

Do not start eating until each guest has received their serving, unless it is a large group and the host asks all guests to start eating. If this is the case, avoid eating alone and wait for some other guests to also have their meal before you begin.

When finished eating, do not push your plate away. Place your fork, with tines down, and knife diagonally across the plate, parallel to each other and pointing to the ten o'clock position. Refer to other guides to learn more specifics about etiquette, and enjoy using your new dining table.

If you enjoy eating out at restaurants quite regularly then you will undoubtedly have your own favorite restaurants and favorite dishes you always order when you go there. (...)

If you enjoy eating out at restaurants quite regularly then you will undoubtedly have your own favorite restaurants and favorite dishes you always order when you go there. Eating out at restaurants all the item can become costly after a while, sure it's great to get out, but if you are doing it 3 times a week or more it can add up quickly.

A solution is to enjoy your favorite meals at home by using restaurant copycat recipes. A copycat restaurant recipe is a specially researched and reverse engineered recipe created by experts through trial and error in order to capture the taste of a popularrestaurant recipe that would otherwise be kept secret. Big chain restaurants and even smaller restaurants will jealously guard their recipe secrets so as to not lose business.

You have probably sat there trying to work out just what has gone into the dish, what sort of ingredients are they using.. Maybe you have even cheekily tried to ask the waiter or the chef for the recipe it was so good! Chances are they didn't give you the recipe, and probably for good reason, if they did give it away to every person who asked for it, they would soon be out of business.

Recreating Famous Dishes

Step 1:
You are going to have to do some research and track down some information or recipes for your favorite dish. This will mean maybe getting friendly with a chef who works at you favorite restaurant and then try and coax out some hints as to what the dish ingredients are and how its prepared. This is probably the hardest method depending on how persuasive you are.

Your other option here is to track down a copycat restaurant recipe book which will eliminate the need to friendly up to the restaurant staff.

Step 2:
It is important to wherever possible use the exact ingredients described to you. If the recipe calls for white pepper for example, don't use coarse black pepper just because it is the only thing you have on hand. It's a simple tip, but if you are trying to faithfully recreate famous dishes you will need to stay true to the originals and avoid improvising too much with the ingredients. The same goes for quantities of the ingredients, if the copycat recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of Tabasco, you should probably use only 1 teaspoon.

Step 3:
Always follow the original cooking methods. This is particularly true for recipes that rely on a certain cooking technique to impart the original flavor. It is no use pan-frying a beef patty if you are trying to copy the Burger King flame grilled whopper taste. You would be better using a BBQ for this task, if you are not set upat home with a flame griller.

These are simple suggestions but important factors to consider if you want to attain accurate facsimiles of restaurant recipes at home. Following other peoples copycat recipes will take out all the guesswork from cooking your favorite dishes at home. Stay true to the recipe instructions and you won't and up wasting your time with trial and error trying to find the exact method to recapture a classic meal.

Introduction

A few years ago, Provo Craft decided to really change the world of scrapbooking by releasing the Cricut product line. The Cricut machine is a cartridge-based electronic die-cutting machine. The Original Cricut Machine was released (also known as the Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter), with the ability to cut images onto paper using a 6 by 12- inch mat. The Cricut Machine is sold as a package with one cartridge (George and Basic Shapes), cutting blade, a cutting mat, and instruction manual. Several cartridges and accessories were released shortly after.

Cricut Expression Machine

Demand for the Original Cricut machine was overwhelming. Customers were asking for a machine to cut larger images and more functionality, and Provo Craft responded by introducing the Cricut Expression Machine. The Expression has several notable upgrades to the original machine: it is able to cut images up to 12 by 24 inches, has a large LCD screen that allows the user to see the next cut, an eight-way directional blade, and Fit-to-Page mode. Provo Craft also introduced more cartridges and accessories to go along with the Expression.

Create Machine

Many Cricut users have upgraded to the Expression from the Original Cricut Personal Cutter. However, scrapbookers were asking for a more portable machine to take along to crops and scrapbooking parties. The Expression is a larger machine, meant to be left at home at a permanent workspace. Once again, Provo Craft responded to demand by releasing the Cricut Create Machine. The Create Machine has the functionality of the Expression, but is a much smaller unit with greater portability. The Create can cut images up to 6 by 12- inches, similar to the Original machine.

Cartridges

Cricut machines require cartridges in order to cut images. All Cricut Cartridges are compatible in all three machines. Cricut is continuously releasing new cartridges to keep up with scrapbooking demand. There are now over 100 Cricut Cartridges available! The cartridges have unique themes, with 4 main types:

Fonts- these cartridges contain letters and numbers with varying styles. Some popular Font cartridges are: Plantin Schoolbook, Calligraphy, and Storybook. These cartridges come in a peach-colored binder with a detailed instruction manual and unique keypad that corresponds to the cartridge.

Shapes- these are the most popular type of Cricut Cartridges, among the favorites are: Stretch Your Imagination, Wild Card, and Celebrations. The Shapes cartridges come in a light blue-colored binder.

Classmate- these are catered towards educators- includes 50 States, Cursive 101, and My Community. The Classmate cartridge binders are green.

When planning a ceremony reception, be trusty to give special attention to the ceremony cake. There is, of course, a certain chain of events and best practices that are good to follow. (...)

When planning a ceremony reception, be trusty to give special attention to the ceremony cake. There is, of course, a certain chain of events and best practices that are good to follow.

When you are ready to select a ceremony cake, you should arrange to foregather with three bakers and taste their products. If you have attended or are planning on attending a bridal show, you can easily and quickly take tending of this task at the show.

If you have a certain look you are feat for with your ceremony cake, be trusty to bring a picture of what you would like when meeting with bakers. It is also a good idea to bring along your block topper if you already have it as well as fabric swatches of the bridesmaid’s dresses. Also, be prepared to give the baker an estimated number of guests that you are expecting.

When you foregather with the baker, be trusty to ask to wager a portfolio of pictures that have been taken of the baker’s previous work. In addition, always check references before making a final decision.

When you are interviewing the bakers, ask each one the same questions so that you do not forget anything and so that you can make an accurate comparison. Some things to communicate about are the set-up and take-down of the table where the block will be, who will put the block topper on the cake, who will locate napkins, plates, flowers, etc. on the table, and who will direct the cutting of the cake.

Also, find out where the block will be stored (it must be out of direct sunlight), who will be in calculate of boxing up the block top and giving to a previously designated person, what arrangements will be made for the left-over cake, and who will cut the block and distribute it. Cutting a ceremony block is much trickier than it looks and must be done by someone who is familiar with the process.
When you are reviewing a baker’s contract, be trusty to note several things. For instance, you should directly wager the name, contact person, location, and sound numbers for the bakery. The block size, shape, and number of tiers must be on the contract. Be trusty that the block flavor(s), fillings, and icing are noted and that returnable items are clearly stated.

Be trusty that the number of guests the block is to serve is on the contract as we;; as when the block was ordered, when the block will be delivered and assembled, what the set-up fee is if applicable, and the due dates for deposits and balances. For more information on ceremony cakes and other ceremony ideas, be trusty to go to www.bridalblog.info.

In closing, choosing a block can really be a lot of fun. You have the quantity to sample some goodies and make some light-hearted decisions about fillings, flavors, and decorations. However, in the process, make trusty you are noting all of the details that need to be awninged so that you are confident in your baker’s ability to deliver the product that you are expecting.
